All my kids are now in school!

Wow! Can you believe how time flies. I now have all 4 of my kids going to the same school. We decided to split up the twins and put them into different classes. I think this will work out better because that way they can gain their own identities. Plus we’ve learned that they were working together in preschool to get things done! Smart kids but thats not going to help them in the long run.

Madeline is now in 4th Grade and has her old 2nd Grade teacher. We just love her and we are so glad we get to have her as a teacher again. Next year Megan will have her again (She was Megan’s second grade teacher last year.) Now if we can only get to switch back to the 2nd grade when Mark and/or Maloree start second grade! :)

You have to love this:

The reason I named my son Mark is because my child idol was Mark Messier (plus we needed another M name). He is one of the greatest hockey players of all time. He just retired this year. :( What is distinctive about Mark Messier is that he wears the number 11. My entire youth and adult hockey career I’ve made a huge effort to always be #11 regardless of the sport I play. In fact the photos you see of me and my brother’s playing I am wearing #11. Well Mark was assigned seat #11 at school. Now that is just plain cool if you ask me! If we were living in Canada I would have have EXPECTED the teacher to assign him #11. But there is no way this teacher would known the origin of the number and the name. My wife caught it because she knows this crazy number obession since we were in High School.

The twins went to Legoland

While Madeline and Megan were at Camp, Kim and the twins were off to Legoland. They had a great time.

Kim said that the place is great for the twins but she doubts that older girls would have enjoyed themselves. I love the picture of Mark with Darth Vader! Check out the images!

The HANSEN Brothers playing Ice Hockey

Well we are the real deal! The Hansen Brothers are once again reunited and playing ice hockey together for the very first time!

My brother Adam was down visiting from Canada and he brought his ice hockey equipment with him. He was down for a little over a month and was able to play with Don and I in our ice hockey league.

It was great because we never played competive ice hockey together. Don and I have done so for most of our lives because we’re only 2 years apart. However Adam is 10 years younger than me and when I got married in 1993 he moved back to Canada with my dad. The last time we all played any hockey together was roller hockey in the early 1990’s. It was not same because A) Adam was only 12 at the time and B) it was roller hockey!

I really hope that we are able to do this more often. It would be awesome if Adam was able to move down here for good. Then the Hansen brothers could rule San Diego Ice Hockey :)

Summer Camp

Madeline and Megan went off to Summer camp for the first time. They should really enjoy themselves. Here are a couple of images of when they first arrived at camp!
